Aftercare

Cleaning your lashes daily is the most important part when having lash extensions.

Make-up, dead skin, and unwanted bacteria will start building up at the lash line when your not cleansing daily. Even if you aren't the type of person that doesn't wears a lot of make-up, dead skin from your eyelid will start to build up. I do recommend using a fluff brush to gently get in between each lashes. Cleaning daily will ensure that you get the best time out of your fill appointments. When placing lashes over dirty lashes, the lash extensions and adhesive will not stick nor wrap around the natural lashes properly.

When lash extensions are not cleaned daily it will lead to blepharitis and ordemodex. Blepharitis is when your eyelid is inflamed and affects your eyelashes or tear production. Tiny oil glands near the base of the eyelashes will become clogged with dead skin build up when extensions are not cleaned daily. Your lash line and your lash follicle will get clogged and become inflamed resulting in blepharitist. Your eye will become itchy, red around the eye. and eye lid may become flaky from dead skin cells.

Demodex is a bigger term for eyelash mites, they are very tiny and won't be visible to the human eye. The lash mites feed off dead skin or bacteria in your lashes. Lash extensions that are not cleaned daily creates a perfect environment for them to feed from. They won't harm your eye site but you might experience symptoms including itchy, burning eyes, irritation, eye pain, and unexplained tearing from your eye.

  • No picking or pulling on lashes.

  • Please do no get lashes wet or sweat 12 hours after to appointment.

  • Brush lashes daily to keep lashes fluffy. You may also blow dry lashes on a low cool setting on your blow dryer after cleansing lashes.

  • Cleanse lashes daily and or after sweating or working out.

  • Remove makeup gently around lashes. Avoid cotton around lash line.

  • Use oil free products including makeup removers, under eye products, and cleansers.

  • No mascara or lash curler. Be cautious when using eyeliner on top lash line.

  • Do not sleep on your face. Silk or satin pillow cases are amazing so lash extensions don't snag on cotton pillow cases.
